more specific: the lighting and dithering is good, and the shape is better than the original title screen, but sonic moves like he’s built by robotnik and that makes this somewhat uncomfortable to look at (especially the winking)

The palette and structure are great, but the characters look like mediocre Calvin and Hobbes.
Also, where is the lighting on pico coming from?
